Photographs are essential references for painters when used properly.  This class tackles photography/painting related issues such as how to use a photo as a reference - not just something to copy, what kind of image best translates into a painting, how to edit a ‘busy’ scene, combining sources and finding a strong composition.
New students will learn the basics of oil painting as more experienced painters continue to develop and refine their skills.  Though this class is a continuation of the September three-session class, students need not have taken the previous class to enjoy this one.  Materials, color mixing and composition will be discussed throughout this five-session class.
