Collidoscope: MCA MFA Exhibition

Collidoscope
Opening reception Friday, April 25, 6-9pm
Hyde Gallery of the Nesin Graduate School, 477 South Main
work on display April 16-May 10

The exhibition features artwork from eleven MFA candidates including Rebecca Belz, Michelle Fair, Bridget Fowler, Eric Huber and Christopher "Shea" Snow from Memphis, Tenn.; Nicholas D'Acquisto, Finger, Tenn.; Evan Stanfield, Macon, Ga.; Thomas Green, SEattle, Wash.; Tyler Hildebrand, Cincinnati, Ohio; Margaret Blevins, Birmingham, Ala.; and Jason Williams, Pittsburgh, Pa.

Works in the exhibition display a variety of media and concepts fostered through the MFA program. A recurring theme in the show is the idea of presenting traditional materials and techniques in a new form that contributes to the conversation of contemporary art, asking the question, "what is possible?"

Hyde Gallery hours are Wednesday-Saturday, noon-5pm. The gallery will be open from 6-9pm on April 25 for the opening reception. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.
