The Yellow House on Union opens as an art gallery and vintage boutique in the heart of the most vibrant area on Memphis.

Visitors to The Yellow House on Union will see outstanding paintings, photographs, and sculptures by local artists. Our current exhibit, “Transitions” showcases the work of Artist’s Link members: Sue S. Miller, Jenny Powell Miller, Susan E. Inman, Gail Buckman, Jim Blythe and Joel Alexander.  This exhibit runs through November 2, 2013.

In addition to outstanding art work, visitors may revisit earlier years with vintage children’s books, toys, dolls and games, In reading a book by Dr. Seuss, Hans Christian Anderson, Charles Schulz, Watty Piper, or so many others, a parent or grandparent can see how the beautiful illustrations combine with the words of the author to allow the young child to experience learning by seeing, touching, holding, reading and listening.

There are also many very old, and some rare books with works by famous authors such as Steinbeck, Dickens, and Twain. For collectors, The Yellow House on Union offers many first editions of books by Clancy, Grisham, Michener, Dixon, Rowling and the like.

If vintage vinyl LP’s are your specialty, we offer a vast array of music genres, including opera-Callas, Sills, Domingo, and Pavorotti; classical conductors- Fiedler, Bernstein and Williams; and classical composers – Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Handel. For the rock and rollers, there’s the Beatles, Led Zepelin, Mamas and Papas and many more; and for Memphis music fans, there is plenty of Elvis, Charlie Rich and Johnny Cash.
