Delta Dreams Closing Reception

Closing reception for Delta Dreams: an exhibit of paintings by Matthew Hasty
Saturday, July 6, 5-8pm
Cotton Museum
65 Union Avenue

On the evening of July 6, 2013, the Cotton Museum and Matthew Hasty is proud to host the closing reception for Delta Dreams - the exciting new exhibition of landscape paintings by Matthew Hasty. From 5pm to 8pm the Museum will be open for a closing reception and showcasing his newest painting, never before seen by the public. If you weren't able to join Matthew at his opening reception, this will be a wonderful opportunity to view some of his incredible artwork.

His exhibition, Delta Dreams, offers a view of our region’s spectacular landscape from the dreamy perspective of one of Memphis’ most collected local artists. This event will also feature local beer from High Cotton Brewing Company. This event is free and open to the community.

This exhibition and reception are part of the Cotton Museum’s on-going Making the Delta program which works to share the work of our region’s most innovative artists. Through this program we invite visual artists from Memphis and across the South to share their work with the community, displaying their art in our unique historical setting. Our goal is to bring their work to new audiences and contextualize the pieces in our city’s history – their creative insight can make surprising connections between past and present.
